| i have been preaching for a couple months at a taiwanese church in norcal. the church has been without a pastor for quite some time, i believe for over a year already. it is interesting to see parallels in the congregation's nature with the church i grew up in when it was without a pastor. looking back at that time in my life where i was a brand new believer, without a pastor, spiritual disciplines and regular fellowship are what got me through. i would never have imagined that fragile time in my faith would be able to speak out to anybody. God is amazing, he really does use events in mysterious ways. the most painful times are the times that really make you who you are. little do you know, God is developing your testimony for to bless others in the future.
when i took my hermeneutics and preaching classes at school, i always struggled with developing good sermons. i pretty much tossed all those sermons out. i know for certain that God inspires me to write since the sermons for this congregation come so readily and easily. passages just come to mind randomly as well as their themes. ideas and stories just come and sometimes my fingers are too slow to type. when i do exegetical studies of the texts, they all fit the themes that come to mind. what i have learned to do is to just do my exegetical study and make an outline of the text. then rather than typing, i just speak into a digital recorder and transpose it afterwards. God does use the most unexpected people for his service. i'm an introvert by nature, preaching is the last thing i would have thought to be called for. i could imagine God laughing at that.

props to amy for the save the date postcard. =)
i've been inundated with dresses, flowers, colors, fabrics, paper craft, art, and party favors for the past 3 weeks. its a bit more than i can handle. i hope this is enough to explain my manly gear-head post earlier. lol. anyways, we finally got some deposits paid, so we're set on March 21 2009. sorry to disappoint you out of town folks, but we're holding the ceremony in LA. we will be traveling through japan, taiwan, and hong kong afterwards to hold banquets, so holla if you would like to be a part of our asia tour rather than in LA. if you haven't given us your addresses yet, please do so here: http://andynamy.com thanks!

| a bit dusty and grimy, but everything is in perfect shape. =)

took about 10 minutes to get the block split apart. subaru really designs well in comparison with my mazda, volvo, plymouth engine build experience. lol. this is my first boxer engine build! bearings are silky smooth, i didn't want to get my hands greasy again to show you the bearings, but they're perfect.

cylinder walls are smooth. pistons are a bit greasy, as usual for somebody running crappy mobil1 oil. those are coming out anyway.

out with the old, in with the new. its unbelievable that the old turbo nearly paid for the entire engine block. these things sell like hot cakes. td05-18g on the left, vf39 on the right. what differences do you notice? i can assure you, in this case, size does not matter. =)

this is where you start to notice significant difference. 18g on the left, vf39 on the right.

i cant help but feel that all my work goes for naught... in every aspect of my life. the dreams of the future get further by each passing moment. the decisions i have acted upon in the past year have me trapped. how did this happen? how did i fall this far off track? | | |
